Brief treatment
process

|
The raw sewage is received by gravity at the inlet works where it is screened & de-gritted through manual screen & grit chambers for removal of large sized particles & grit. Screened & degritted sewage is then taken to an aerobic tanks designed on “Moving bed biological activated sludge process (MBBR) or FAB (fluidised aerobic bed process)” basis. The MBBR tanks are equipped with diffused aerators (diffusers). The effluent then proceeds to the secondary clarifier for sludge settling and clarification of sewage. Dewatering of the excess sludge is achieved by sludge thickener followed with sludge drying beds. The treated effluent from clarifier is discharged into the treated effluent channel to near by nallah.
